Welcome
DSP Ops Center is an HR and operations management platform built specifically for delivery service providers. It provides a centralized system for managing employees, onboarding, scheduling, fleet operations, compliance, performance tracking, and more — all from a single dashboard.
This guide will walk you through your first login, initial setup, and the key concepts you need to know to get the most out of DSP Ops Center.
First Login
Your DSP Ops Center site is hosted at a unique URL provided by DSP Platform during account setup. You will receive a welcome email containing:
- Your site URL (e.g.,
https://your-company.example.com)
- Your email address
- A temporary password
To log in:
- Open your site URL in any modern web browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox).
- Enter the email address from your welcome email.
- Enter your temporary password.
- Click Sign In.
Important: After your first login, you will be prompted to set up multi-factor authentication (MFA). This step is required and cannot be skipped. MFA protects your employee data, payroll information, and compliance documents from unauthorized access — even if someone learns your password.
Setting Up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
DSP Ops Center requires MFA for all user accounts. MFA adds a second layer of security by requiring a code from an authenticator app — an app on your phone that generates a new 6-digit code every 30 seconds — in addition to your email and password.
What you need:
- An authenticator app on your phone, such as:
- Google Authenticator (iOS / Android)
- Authy (iOS / Android / Desktop)
- Microsoft Authenticator (iOS / Android)
Setup steps:
- After your first login, you will see the MFA setup screen.
- Open your authenticator app and select Add Account or tap the + icon.
- Scan the QR code displayed on screen.
- Your authenticator app will begin generating 6-digit codes that refresh every 30 seconds.
- Enter the current 6-digit code from your authenticator app into the verification field.
- Click Verify to complete setup.
Tip: If the QR code won't scan, tap 'Enter key manually' in your authenticator app and type the code shown below the QR image.
Tip: Save your recovery codes in a secure location. Recovery codes are one-time backup codes. If you lose your phone or delete your authenticator app, you can use one of these codes to log in instead of the 6-digit code. Recovery codes are the only way to regain access to your account if you lose your authenticator app.
Navigating the Dashboard
On desktop, the left sidebar provides access to all major sections of DSP Ops Center:
| Section | Description |
|---|
| Dashboard | Overview of key metrics and alerts |
| Attendance | Daily attendance tracking and reporting |
| Compliance | Document expiration tracking and compliance status |
| Disciplinary | Disciplinary records and coaching documentation |
| E-Signatures | Send and track electronic document signatures |
| Employees | Full employee directory and profiles |
| Fleet | Vehicle management, inspections, and maintenance |
| Onboarding | Visual pipeline board for new hire onboarding |
| Performance | Driver performance rankings and history |
| Reports | Birthday, anniversary, and missing-info reports |
| Scheduling | Weekly shift scheduling and time-off management |
| Admin | User management, roles, and system settings |
| Settings | Personal preferences (appearance, profile) |
The sections visible to each user depend on their assigned role and permissions. Users will only see navigation items they have access to.
Mobile Navigation
DSP Ops Center is fully responsive and works on phones and tablets. On smaller screens:
- The sidebar is replaced by a hamburger menu icon in the top-left corner of the header.
- Tap the hamburger icon to open a slide-out drawer with the full navigation menu.
- The drawer automatically closes when you select a page.
Dashboard Overview
The main Dashboard provides an at-a-glance summary of your operation:
- Employee Summary — Total headcount broken down by status (active, onboarding, on leave, terminated).
- Attendance Alerts — Employees flagged for attendance issues requiring review.
- Compliance Warnings — Upcoming and expired document expirations (driver licenses, medical cards, etc.).
- Quick Actions — Shortcuts to common tasks like adding an employee or viewing the onboarding pipeline.
Dark / Light Mode
DSP Ops Center supports both dark and light display modes.
To change your display mode:
- Click Settings in the sidebar.
- Select the Appearance tab.
- Choose Light, Dark, or System (matches your device preference).
Your preference is saved to your account and persists across devices.
Key Concepts: Roles and Permissions
DSP Ops Center uses a role-based permission system. Each user is assigned a role, and each role defines exactly what that user can see and do.
Built-In Roles
| Role | Description |
|---|
| Admin | Full access to all features, settings, and user management |
| Lead Manager | Broad operational access — employees, scheduling, fleet, attendance, performance |
| HR Recruiter | Focused on onboarding pipeline and new hire management |
| Fleet Manager | Vehicle management, inspections, and maintenance tracking |
| Scheduler | Shift scheduling and time-off request management |
| Manager | Day-to-day operational access with limited administrative capabilities |
How Permissions Work
- Permissions are granular — each action (read, write, delete) is controlled separately for each module (employees, fleet, scheduling, etc.).
- Roles can be customized — Admins can create new roles or modify existing ones to match your organizational structure.
- Users see only what they have access to — sidebar navigation, page content, and available actions all adapt based on the user's role.
For example, your dispatcher might only need access to Scheduling and Attendance, while your HR coordinator needs Onboarding and Documents.
Tip: Start with the built-in roles. You can always create custom roles later as your team's needs become clearer.
Setting Up Your Team
Creating Users
Only Admins can create and manage user accounts.
- Navigate to Admin in the sidebar.
- Select the Users tab.
- Click Add User.
- Enter the user's name and email address.
- Select a Role from the dropdown.
- Click Create.
The new user will receive an email with login instructions and will be prompted to set up MFA on their first login.
Assigning and Changing Roles
- Navigate to Admin > Users.
- Find the user in the list and click their name.
- Change their role using the Role dropdown.
- Click Save.
Changes take effect immediately — the user's navigation and available actions will update on their next page load.
Configuring Integrations
DSP Ops Center connects with several external services to automate workflows. Configure these in Admin > Settings.
Note: You don't need all of these integrations to get started. Most DSPs begin with just DSP Chat for notifications and add others over time. If you need help obtaining API keys or credentials for any integration, contact DSP Platform support.
| Integration | Purpose | What You Need |
|---|
| SendGrid | Automated email notifications (onboarding, reminders) | SendGrid API key (found in your SendGrid dashboard under Settings > API Keys) |
| Twilio | SMS notifications to employees | Twilio Account SID, Auth Token, and phone number (found in your Twilio Console dashboard) |
| DSP Chat | In-app chat notifications for schedule publishes, reminders, and alerts | DSP Chat webhook URL and channel IDs (provided by DSP Platform during Chat setup) |
| Google Sheets | Bulk employee import from spreadsheets | Google Sheets URL with employee data (the full URL from your browser's address bar when viewing the sheet) |
| Fleetio | Sync vehicle data, service entries, and meter readings | Fleetio API key and Account Token (found in Fleetio under Account > API Keys) |
| Zoho Mail | Sync work email accounts to employee records | Zoho OAuth credentials — Client ID, Secret, Refresh Token, Org ID (found in the Zoho API Console at api-console.zoho.com) |
To configure an integration:
- Navigate to Admin > Settings.
- Find the integration section.
- Enter the required credentials.
- Click Save.
- Test the connection using the sync button (where available).
Important: Integration credentials are encrypted at rest. Only Admins can view or modify integration settings.
